Welcome To Bird Farm

Bird Farm is a family run business located in the South Cotswolds.

We are able to offer high quality alpacas for sale with the rare and sought after "Snowmass" genetics. We are members of the British Alpaca Society and all of our alpacas are registered with them.

The current Stud Male at Bird Farm is "Emperor II". Please see our Stud Page for further details.

We also provide an alpaca livery and husbandry advice service. All of our alpaca fleeces are processed by us. Some of the yarn is for sale whilst the rest goes to produce beautiful hand knitted products.

Bird Farm grows 7 varieties of willow which enables us to produce many practical products including hurdles, baskets and plant supports.

This summer we will see the arrival of our rare pigs and poultry thereby increasing the range of products we are able to offer.

We are now a shearing centre for those with a few alpacas to shear. We are also suppliers of Camelid complete feed.

Our Alpacas

Our aim is to maintain a herd of around twenty breeding females. The emphasis being to improve the fine texture, the crimp and colour of their fleece by careful and controlled mating.

We're delighted to welcome our first cria 'Betty' who arrived at Bird Farm in June 2011.

We are able to offer Snowmass Studs from white through all their colours to black.

So proud of our boys, Emperor came 4th in his class and Abraham came 2nd in his!
